What We Believe and Teach
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God — the supreme and final authority for our faith, doctrine, and Christian living. The statements that follow summarise the essential biblical doctrines that guide the teaching and ministry of Eternal Life Church.

Preamble
Founded on the authority of God’s Word
At Eternal Life Church, we believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme and final authority for our faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
We are committed to faithfully proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, making mature disciples, strengthening the local church, and glorifying God in all that we do. Every ministry of this church — our worship, preaching, prayer, teaching, fellowship, and service — rests upon the truth of Scripture.

The Doctrines
Ten Doctrines We Hold
Each doctrine below is stated in Scripture’s own terms and supported by the key passages on which it rests.
The Holy Scriptures
Article One
We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six (66) books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is God’s complete revelation to humanity and is fully sufficient for salvation, doctrine, correction, instruction, and Christian living.
Therefore, the Scriptures are the supreme and final authority for our faith, doctrine, and practice, and every ministry of Eternal Life Church is founded upon the authority of God’s Word.

The Triune God
Article Two
We believe that there is one true and living God, eternally existing in three distinct Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three Persons are equal in deity, power, glory, and perfection, yet they are one God, worthy of all worship, honour, and obedience.
God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign Ruler of all things. He is holy, righteous, loving, merciful, just, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He alone is the object of our worship and the source of our salvation and eternal hope.

The Lord Jesus Christ
Article Three
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully Man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and willingly offered Himself as the perfect and substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the world.
He was bodily raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes for believers. We believe that He is the only Savior, the Head of the Church, and will personally, visibly, and gloriously return to establish His kingdom.

The Holy Spirit
Article Four
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Triune God, fully divine and equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerates those who believe in Jesus Christ, and permanently indwells every believer.
The Holy Spirit seals, sanctifies, teaches, comforts, and empowers believers to live godly lives and to serve Christ effectively. He also equips believers with spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church and the advancement of the Gospel.

The Doctrine of Angels
Article Five · Angelology
We believe that angels are created spirit beings who worship God and serve as His messengers and ministers. Holy angels faithfully carry out God’s will and minister to those who inherit salvation.
We believe that Satan is a real personal being, originally created as a holy angel, who rebelled against God and became the enemy of God and His people. He is the deceiver of the whole world and the source of evil, but his power is limited by God. Satan and all fallen angels will ultimately be judged and eternally punished in the lake of fire.

The Doctrine of Man and Sin
Article Six · Anthropology & Hamartiology
We believe that God created man and woman in His own image for His glory and fellowship. Through the disobedience of Adam, sin entered the world, and all humanity inherited a sinful nature and became separated from God.
As a result, every person is a sinner by nature and by choice and is unable to save himself. Therefore, all people are in need of God’s grace and the salvation provided through Jesus Christ alone.

The Doctrine of Salvation
Article Seven · Soteriology
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God’s grace, received through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His substitutionary death on the cross and His bodily resurrection from the dead.
Those who repent and place their faith in Him are forgiven of their sins, justified, regenerated, adopted into God’s family, and eternally secure in Christ. Salvation is not earned by human works but is the gracious work of God, resulting in a transformed life that is lived for His glory.

The Doctrine of the Church
Article Eight · Ecclesiology
We believe that the Church is the Body and Bride of Christ, composed of all true believers in Jesus Christ. Christ is the Head of the Church, and every local church is to worship God, faithfully preach and teach His Word, observe the ordinances of Believer’s Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, make disciples, and proclaim the Gospel to all nations.
We believe that every local church is autonomous under the lordship of Jesus Christ and is called to serve God in holiness, unity, love, and obedience to His Word.

The Doctrine of Last Things
Article Nine · Eschatology
We believe in the imminent, personal, and pre-tribulational return of the Lord Jesus Christ to receive His Church. Following the Tribulation, Christ will return visibly and gloriously to establish His premillennial kingdom on earth.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the final judgment of all people, the eternal blessedness of believers in the presence of God, and the eternal punishment of the unbelieving in the lake of fire. We also believe in the new heaven and the new earth, where righteousness will dwell forever.

The Doctrine of the Christian Life
Article Ten
We believe that every believer is called to live a holy and Christ-centered life through the power of the Holy Spirit. Christians are to grow in the knowledge of God’s Word, walk in obedience to Christ, maintain a life of prayer, worship, and faithful service, and demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit in their daily lives.
We believe that believers are to love God, love one another, uphold biblical morality, and faithfully proclaim the Gospel, living in a manner that brings glory to God until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

These statements summarise the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith as taught in the Holy Scriptures and faithfully upheld by Eternal Life Church. We are committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching the whole counsel of God’s Word, making mature disciples, and living for the glory of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We joyfully submit ourselves to the authority of Scripture and eagerly await the glorious return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
